It warmed up today so I dug the trailer out of the snow and took the F4i to
the shop.

Any guesses why it won't start?

1. Not getting fuel
2. Not getting spark
3. Not getting air
4. Bad starter
5. And so on...

Without *additional* information...there's very little to say.

Here you go.

Battery was dead, so over Christmas I charged the battery. It fired right
up but didn't go to fast idle. So I tweaked the throttle and the bike died.
Battery dead again upon trying to restart.

Charged the battery, the bike cranks but won't fire. Repeat. No need in
wearing out the starter, the bike has always started instantly, like a fuel
injected bike should. So today I took it to the dealer, I want to beat the
spring rush and be ready for a short notice ride to Phoenix.

The bike was real low on fuel, so I am thinking bad fuel pump or some other
fuel related issue. Maybe a blown fuse I couldn't find?

I'll just have to wait for the call from the dealer.

If it was real low on fuel it could just be a case of bad fuel in the
tank from sitting over the winter.

Out of gas? Its a Honda? No air in the tires?

It was 55F here today, I got 60 miles in on the couch, it goes into
the shop on Monday for this springs goody install.

Bad gas? No gas? Frozen gas line? How cold is it by you? I think the
Buell would have a hard time starting now as it is going to be 0
degrees with a 20 mph wind. I won't try and start it till it gets a
little warmer though. I have a new battery and it is on a tender.

Good luck getting it started.

It would make sense that a small amount of fuel will go bad quicker than
a larger amount, epecially if that fuel is sitting there in a big empty
tank with all sorts of temp changes. Fuel saver is cheap enough - I just
dump the stuff in there any time I think the bike might have to sit for
more than a couple weeks (that hasn't happened in ages though).

Hey Steve where are the ice races? Do they still have them in FT
Atkinson? Sounds like something I can do next weekend.

I'll keep ya apprised the next time they run. I forget the name of the
park they were GOING to run them in today, but I guess the ice still
isn't thick enough to safely race.

before I get back, and its 50F again, and I ride the bike to work!

Agreed, Monticello it is. I'll buy dinner. Yeah, I agree with hangin'
with Bob and not going to Bisbee also.

And I get to do wheelies on the RD 2 smoke first! Hell, I'll be happy to
just sit on it for the memories.

Leave April 18th or May 2nd? I'm ready, the bike isn't. I think I need to
add a big magnetic tank bag to the gear list.
