Post subject: TTR225 kickstart option?
Archived from groups: rec>motorcycles>dirt (more info?)

Just bought a 2000 TTR225 for my 15yr old and he loves it.

My concern is that I want to teach him real dirt bike fundamentals such as
kick starting.

Actually it's not a big deal but does anyone know if an option exist to add
a kick start to these bikes? According to my local dealer it doesn't exist
but the casing is stamped for the option. There must be other versions of
this engine used by Yamaha that use a kick starter?
