Oh great pool of amassed wisdom on all things motorcycle-ish.
Simple question that I'm sure will get me a mass of differing, if
not downright conflicting, opinions.
Should one use fully synthetic oils, like Mobil1, in your bike's
engine?
Let the influx begin.
DaZZa - yes, this is a serious question - I really wanna know.

Use Mobil1? Yes, in my case, Triumph specify it.
Pretty good stuff but not the most expensive on the market either.
The bike's never "drank" any oil in 30,000. No puffs of smoke, clean running, cam gear and cover look like new with no deposits of
any gunk/residues whatsoever.

No way; it's messing with Nature!
We don't wanna see a world taken over by hideous mutated GM oils. (Or even
Ford ones)
Don't do it man.

remember you should be using the motorcycle version of Mobil1 which is Mobil
Racing 4T. I hear the new car Mobil 1 has friction modifiers in it making it
more unsuitable for bikes (clutch will slip etc)

Maybe your BMW clutch is a dry type. I thought all BMW's had a dry clutch.
(I could be wrong)

Has anyone had experience with Motorex oils? My service dealership uses and
recommends this oil.
I've always used Castrol Synthetic in my bikes in recent years with good
results.

That was the kinda response I was hoping to hear, since it's a BM
I'm considering putting it into.
