We like Myrtle Beach as a family vacation destination and, in fact,
just spent a week there last month.
Now that my son and I have bikes, he's wanting to ride to bike week
next May (about 6 or 7 hrs for us). He'll be over 18 by next May.
We still have to take the MSF (even though my insurance company - State
Farm - doesn't honor it) and get to know our bikes to get a feel for
whether or not they are roadworthy for the trip. Worst case, I guess we
could trailer them down.
Just for the dad-son time, Bike Week would be worth it to me, but I
could go up in the Shenendoahs with him instead.
I know Mrtyle is a tourist trap (that my family willing submits to
every 3 years:) and I know there'll be beaucoup MC vendors there and
lots of cool bikes. So as far as Bike week itself goes, is it worth the
trip? Over a ride in the Shenandoah mountains?
Thanks,
Greg >> Stay informed about: Anybody here ever go to (May/Spring) Bike Week in Myrtle B.. |

My son.
Plus, I hear Bike Week is really Trailer Week as few folks really ride
their bikes to SC, but just trailer them in, whihc actually sounds good
to me - more comfortable, no breakdowns -

If you like to ride, go to the Shenandoah mountains.
If you like crowds, playing the part of a 'biker', seeing other 'bikers'
and being seen by them, by all means go to Myrtle Beach bike week.

Myrtle Beach
Its worth it if you just want to see a bunch of Bikes. I go each year
but I live real close. I like to see that many bikes in one place. Go
figure.
Was just there in May and picked up a nice souvenir.
