SPEED's not going to show any of VIR this weekend, and instead show it next
weekend.

snarl..curse..grunt...

So, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't mention any spoilers about VIR.

This means I should basically ignore all of the racing websites, Two Wheel
Tuesday, and this group until after VIR....Heck, I may as well unsub from my
mailing lists as well.

I'm hoping for Tommy to take both SSport and SStock. I think that would just
be really great for him. Mat has SB pretty well locked, but I will be
watching the Ducatis closely Smile.

This is High Suck for Speed, IMHO. It doesn't make sense that they're able
to find time to broadcast the delayed race NEXT weekend, but not THIS
weekend. Sure, we have MotoGP this weekend, but they've mixed and matched
before.

*sigh*

Thanks for the heads up. This means I'll be off the ng starting this
Sunday until next Sunday, since I'm sure someone will be unable to avoid
spoiling it within their subject line. Heck, I should just sequester
myself.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

I was looking at Speed's website and I thought they were going to
delay it until the 19th (which is more than a week). The SS 1 week
after that, and SSk is so far off that it isn't on the schedule.
I hope I am wrong and it is next week.

Superbike:

Tuesday October 19th, 12:00pm Eastern - Superbike Day 1 (Presumably Race 1)
Tuesday October 19th, 01:00pm Eastern - Superbike Day 2 (Presumably Race 2)

Supersport:

Tuesday October 26th, 12:00pm Eastern - Supersport

With that schedule I give up on seeing it before I find out the results.

*sigh*

This has High Suck. Truckloads of it.

One things I've learned about what I LIKE about motorcycle racing, is I like
the progress through the championship. For example, while there's a
statistical chance that Mladin could lose the championship, it's completely
unlikely, and thus makes watching the races pretty much unimportant.
Watching Aaron cruising behind Mat in 5th place will be dull dull dull.

FX is done, and hasn't been really compelling this year anyway, unless you
like watching poor Jake suffer.

SSport is similar to SBike. Tommy has to show up, he has to do well, but he
just needs to stay close to Roger in position, doesn't have to actually beat
him, just keep him in sight.

SStock, however, that is THE humdinger right now. That's the race I'm
interested in because the top 3 guys have to go all out, or lose it. This
championship can very easily be a last corner sprint to the line. I just
wish we had the SBK announcers, as the lead guy there is way more excitable
than the Speed Wonks. (Freddie -- fine rider, world champion, terrible
announcer...just horrible).

Now, knowing "who wins" will be completely unsatisfactory as a spectator.
Even though only the last lap matters, I'm sure I'll be pins and needles all
race until it becomes decided (which may well happen midway, someone could
break away, or whatever). But if I hear who actually won that championship
before watching it, it will ruin the whole race for me. It's a total toss
up, IMHO, and that's what will specifically make THIS SStock VERY
interesting.

So, I think it's particularly rude for Speed to be playing with the
schedule, and having to wait so long to see the SStock race.

Will Hartung
