Anyone know the trick to removing the starter from a '96 Honda TRX300FW? I
can take out the two bolts in the rear of the starter, but when sliding it
out, it hits the engine case. . .

Try asking at alt.atv. You won't get any useful information here.

Chunk of C4 about as big as a golf ball will do the trick.

Naw, we should help this guy. At least up to the point when he's ready
to reinstall it.

Well, best way to fix that TRX is to unscrew the gas cap, roll the TRX out
from under it, then roll an XR up and screw it back on. Now your TRX will
run better than ever.

Aren't you the guy that tells everyone they're wasting their time
asking ATV questions here? Are you on a crusade of sorts to kwad up
this newsgroup? Your recommendation that they try alt.atv seemed to
be a good one.

Don't overlook the tetratol block to get the C4 going. Otherwise, the next
question will be: "How do you get unexploded C4 off new factory plastics?"
