I have KZ400 and when I would try to start it up it would just dump
gas out of the carb. So, after doing some research I found out that it
was likely a blocked/dirty carb in need of cleaning. This past weekend
I took the carbs apart and gave them a good cleaning. But now I cannot
get the gas to flow into the carb. I am new to doing work on bikes and
the carb cleaning was the first time I've tried that so any help would
be great. I am thinking that because the carb, after cleaning, had no
gas in it, that there was no suction to draw new gas in. If I am right
how would I get this fixed? Thanks for any help.

You might want to disconnect the line to the carb(s),
put the petcock in prime and see what kind of flow
you're getting.

Have you tried the PRIme position on the petcock lever ???
That's exactly what it is designed to do. It may take several minutes.
Rocking the bike from side to side gently might help speed up the process.
