If you're talking about the thing that's got a light blue wrap around it, I'd say
it's a fluid line of some sort. At the top, there's a banjo fitting just above the
area where the exhaust port is. The other end has a 45 degree fitting that's attached
to (or appears to) a black bit that's bolted (two bolts) to a round cover. Is that
the one you mean? The round thing looks like it's on one end of one of the cam drive
gears (that cover on the right appears to be a series of gears for cam drive).
There's some sort of sensor coming out of the front of that round thing - who knows?
I also notice that there looks like two sets of mounting bosses on the front of
the engine - one at the top of the crankcase upper and one on the cylinder, about an
inch and a half apart. It's interesting that they would adjust the height of the
motor that much.
