Now it's getting interesting. Rossi's now only .2 seconds behind Biaggi's
day 2 time. Checa's just about where Edwards and Hayden were on day 2, so
the bike is clicking as much as Rossi. Or is it really much faster than last
year? Checa qualified 2nd at Sepang last October, with a 02.89, and in
Saturday practice he did a 04.17, a hair quicker than Nicky (and Melandri
qualified at 04.83). Don't know what a Q contributed, but they might not be
that much faster than 3 months ago, and the Yamaha has already shown that
it's very competitive at Sepang. So the jury's still way out...
