Since all the local usenet pussys backed out on going to Carlos, I
figured there wasnt any since in me being a show off by being the only
one from the DFW area to show up so I decided to ride to Canton to fix
my 4x4 truck. I rode over to the auto parts store and picked up a
clutch master cylinder from Orilleys. On my way to Canton, I stopped
at MC Donalds for a quick breakfast in Kaufman and made my way on into
Canton. I had talked with my brother that night about riding somewhere
after I worked on my truck. I pulled the truck into the barn and they
gave me the wrong part. They gave me the slave cylinder that mounts on
the side of the transmission. Lucky that theres a Orilleys in Canton
and they had the part I needed and they let me swap the other part
out.

I got back to the barn and started tearing the old part out when Big
Ed called and wanted to know if I would ride to Longview. I told him
I was working on my truck but I should be done by the time he rode to
meet me at my fathers ranch. I had some trouble getting that clutch to
pump up. I bled the lines and still no clutch. I was just about to get
the tractor and pull the truck to the back 40 and forget it when my
dad came out and asked me about how much adjustment I had done to the
rod end. I told him that I had matched the adjustment screw to where
the factory one was. I decided I would unhook it from the clutch
peddle inside and adjust it out about as far as it would go...did that
and had full clutch. I drove it about 5 miles to make sure nothing was
slipping or leaking. It was all good.

About the time I got the truck moved out of the barn and all the tools
and myself cleaned up, Big Ed rolled in on the big blue Yamaha. I
called my brother back to tell him we were ready but he became a pussy
because his wife wasnt there to tell him he could go. Big Ed and I
mounted up and headed to Longview via Athens and some backroads. We
wanted to stay off of the big road (I-20) because of the wind. Big Ed
was affraid it would mess up his hair and his momma might not reconize
him when we got there. Big Ed decided to make a little detour and go
see his brother. We got there, visited for a little bit and they were
going to Henderson to eat catfish. They asked if we wanted to go and
we all know Big Ed aint going to turn down a meal so away we went. We
ate at a place called Hushpuppys there on the main drag in Henderson.
We both ate the all you can eat catfish. The fish was real good but
the service SUCKED. Big Ed paid the bill for all 5 of us and was
shocked at how cheap it was..something like 53 bucks. We all hugged
and left the resturant and Big Ed and I headed to Longview to mommas
house.

We arrived at mommas and she was looking good. She was real nice to
Big Ed this time around. She did ask him if he was having twins and
when they were due. That was about the only time I heard her crack on
him. He just ignored her and kept on talking. She didnt ground him or
send him to his room like she normally tries to do. We had a good
visit and it was time to head back west. We left there and headed
straight on home non stop. We rode I-20 all the way back. Big Ed split
off at highway 80 and I rode on in on I-20. I didnt really keep up
with the mileage but I am sure we ddint somewhere around 300-350. I
know I bought gas 3 times that day. I got home at 9:50pm and hit the
hay.

Thats all I have to say about that.....
