Joe wanted to get out of the house today, for a bit and air out his purty
bike. http://www.pkriders.org/mirageflame2.htm Luckily he can work the
brake with the cast on. We rode around the lake a bit, down to Sandy Beach,
then down 16 to the Wataburger. We also rode down to the dam and his
accident site, to see if anything was left. He said he raked up a pile of
parts but we didn't find anything but a few scattered bits of glass from one
of his driving lights.
We did see lots of b/w (hwy patrol) and at least 1 unmarked vehicle.
There's about 9 of those boogers out here and they are writting tickets left
and right. I heard they wrote about 70 tickets just yesterday!
One of the HP is a female and last week she literally ran a guy in a pickup
off the road just to get to Sandy Beach where it was reported that someone
had a dog of a leash. Oh wow! That's one' helluva reason to speed 70 mph on
a dead-end road and nearly cause an accident!
Now you not only have to watch out for deer and cagers but you have to dodge
the HP too!

Ride safe, y'all.

Dang, Sunny! That's a purtee bike! Glad to hear Joe's up and about a
bit more. Be careful with that cast, though. He shouldn't do an Iron
Butt run or nothing.

Thanks, Charles. Maybe I will get good enough to make some money at
painting bikes, reckon? Wink

As for iron butts, I don't think he is quite ready for that, yet. I sure
wish we could have made it to your BBQ though. Joe just didn't feel like
doing Austin with a cast on his leg. Especially since a chigger decided to
make itself at home in there with him. <g>

We will see you later this year, I betcha. Smile

Why not? I'm trying to convince my dad-in-law (an artiste) to come up
to Austin and do something like that.

Cool! If he does decide to and needs a few pointers, there are some real
good websites I can direct y'all to for tips on airbrushing. One of the
dudes at the ROT Rally 2003 gave me a free lesson, so I got the benifit of
both. Smile

I think the chigger is winning. <g> Joe dumped half a bottle of alcohol
down in there, as a last resort. LOL

Yeah, and then you'll have to come up here for BBQ too. Wink Next year
everyone is coming here for the N.A.R.T. Rally. When we get a firm date, I
will let you know.

If it's that real big dude with the white hair (except the big bald spot
on top) and a pony tail, then yeah, he was awesome. A friend had his
brand new Night Train fixed up. Did a great job.

Just don't make it beer, or the bugger will NEVER leave!
