Greetings and a Merry Xmas to all! I'll pop out of lurk mode for a minute
and do a quick intro here. My name is Mike "Gummiente" Palmer and I am an
alc... oops, wrong group. Um... hello everyone! I signed the papers on
Saturday and became the proud owner of an '04 FLHT Standard. Thanks to the
staff at Motosport Plus in Kingston, Ontario! After many years of dreaming
while riding other, less expensive (but still good) makes I was finally able
to swing the financing and make the dream come true. Traded in my '99
Drifter 1500 as the downpayment and took advantage of Harley Credit's
"convenient monthly payments for the rest of your life" option. This gave me
the breathing room to tack on the factory security system, Screaming Eagle
slash-cut slip on mufflers and the 6 YEAR (!!!) unlimited mileage extended
warranty. I had no idea Harley offered that kind of coverage on their
bikes - I average 20,000km per season on my rides and lemme tell ya, this
warranty ROCKS!!!

The best of the holiday season to all of you!

(ok.. hope I didn't violate any ng protocol here...)

Congrats Mike.

I live in Burlington and have been to a number of dealers in the area, i.e.
Pooles, Davies, Jacox, and Toronto HD. I haven't asked about price yet as
everyone quoted MSRP. The best interest rate I could find was 7.99% for 10
years at Davies. May I ask how your deal compares?

Yo, Ultra;

With the 6 year warranty, factory security system and Screaming Eagle
slip-on mufflers, my total bill was $24,120 @ 7.99% for 7 years through
Harley Credit.

I should probably have mentioned that the total financed amount was reduced
because of the trade-in value of my Drifter... so that 7 yr term at 7.99%
was for $17,920. Add taxes, registration and other assorted crap and the
total amount financed was $20,609.
