Came out the house this evening and found that some scrote(s) had
smashed the passenger window on SO's car. AFAICS they've robbed a sat
nav from the glove compartment. I found the sat nav power lead and a
phone charger lying by the car.
Reported it to the police who have told me not to touch the car until
their CSI have been. It's now been over two and a half hours, I feel
I'm in for a long wait.

Bugger.
In other news, apparently there's been a survey carried out in Liverpool
to see whether the UK should join the Euro.
97% of respondents said they thought we should keep the Giro.

Bugger. That's bad news man.
Although, I'm amazed you (or SO) leave things in the car.
One of the giveaways for the robbing bastards is the little circle on
the screen that the sat-nav suction cups leave. *Always* wipe that off.

Phoned the police again and was told it was o.k. to weatherproof the
damage. Two bin bags and a copious amount of parcel tape plus parking
the car down the side of the house, job's a good'n. Now relaxing with
a glass of wine.

Unless I'm sure its totally safe, I never leave owt in the car.
Yes, I leave the satnav cradle and pwr lead in, but I never leave the
unit/phone/lapdog in the car, not even for 5 mins.
I think just from seeing the posts on here over the last five or so years
that it taught me not to leave anything in the cage.

Strangely enough, no. Do you think I should rush out right now and
grab the Epi-Pens that are residing there overnight? I think not,
crime within this (and your) area is far lower than a lot of the
so-called 'posh' areas.

Ah, there's always a good side. Ish. I'm assuming it was Pams car
that got done? Bummer if it was, only a couple of years old (
