After agonizing discussions with by brain (which took all of about 45
seconds), I have come to the conclusion that I need more riding
options than cornfields, train tracks, and The Dam. Heretofore, I
will be returning to the moutain west after this Christmas. Colorado
Springs, to be exact. My decision is actually based on some personal
issues, but for the most part miss the mountains, valleys, streams,
and rolling sagebrush. I'm getting laid-off from my crappy job, so
now is the time to do it. Deeney, Victor, and the other CO RMDers, I
will let y'all know when I make it, and maybe you can show me how to
stud my old knobbies for the winter.

I work in the Springs a lot, so let's hook up sometime. If you find a
decent non-chain restaurant in that place besides Le Petite Meson, I'll
buy. Roman Villa doesn't count. Good luck!

Cool. Fortunately, the job environment seems to be picking up a bit.
A friend is interviewing for a job at a military GPS company in
Springs. Drop me a line, I'll get the name of the company.
VLJ already told you about our Studder in Springs. We'll put you
in touch with Keith. I want him to build me a set of tires. He's the
guy that left stud scratches all of the rocks in 5MOH.

Thanks for the good wishes, guys. I get butterflies thinking about it.
Mike W., I will find you that restaurant.
vlj/Deeney, I'll find Keith when I get there -- thanks. And Jeff, you have my
e-mail if you can send me that Co. name, I'd sure appreciate it.
DJ, it IS home to me, I just didn't realize it until I was gone.
K-Style Cracker, great to finally ride with you. Mud, too. BTW, the MMC Poker
Run is the 29th in Meriden, can you guys make it?
Finally...Pete, whatever the Black and Blue is, I like the sound of it, esp. if
there's a beach! Can you e-mail me some info on it ASAP? I'll check the NETRA
site, too. My bike is pretty well torn apart now, but just for maintenance. I
can have it back together as soon as some parts come in.
Thanks again, fellow spodes!

Sun Valley Beach club is in Stafford. Go past Crystal Lake to the
intersection of rt190. Left at the light. First right, Sun Valley is 1/2
mile on the right. I think it starts at 8:00 sunday but I'm not positive. It
might be 9:00. I'm riding it with my cousin Greg.

That's where they had the gas stops for the Somers' Enduro.. at least
before the psycho took it over and chased out those with mortal skills:)
Good luck and have fun. If you hit a long rocky up/down hill with a huge
rock that looks like a big "SUV windshield" at the bottom, look around for
anything that looks like it belongs on an XR... that'd be mine. That hill
took my ass out twice:)

I'm planning to ride the turkey run, health permitting. Rudy too.
Haven't ridden since that day we rode, and you saw what a mess I was
that day. Now, I've got this bad stomach scene, getting a camera
shoved down my throat on Monday. Both doctors laughing at me that I
didn't go rushing off to the emergency room after puking a pint or two
of blood. Tough guy.
Maybe I can get Chip to give you a special pass to Nirvana Point
before you take off, too. Excellent secret trails, not huge, but a
good day of riding where I learned the sport.
Maybe I should go to CO, too...

Make sure they use a small camera. If you see the old Browning,
run away.
Good luck dude. Enjoy the anesthetics. You'll get a combo
amnesiac/narcotic cocktail. About the 10th time they show you
the pictures you'll remember that you've already seen them.
Ask for a copy of the tape. Show it around the campfire.
