Months ago I was at an auto parts store (that carries Chinese atvs,
boats, blingy wheels and very few actual auto parts) and noticed a bin
of cheap DVDs by the checkout isle. They had about 50 copies of Ride
with the Wind which starred Craig T. Nelson and had pictures of flat
track bikes on the cover. For $3.99, I figured I'd give it a whirl.

I finally got around to watching it last night, and in a nutshell,
it's no On Any Sunday. Craig T. Nelson plays a washed up has-been dirt
track rider who wants to come back and win "the national." Along the
way he befriends a boy with cancer and his semi-hot mother. Typical
made for TV storyline follows.

Apparently Chris Carr coordinated the race scenes and he and other big
name riders (Springsteen, Roeder, Romero & others) were involved. A
much younger looking Dave Despain played the race announcer.

My rating: 1/2 star. It only gets the half star because of the
motorcycle content. Don't waste your time.
