Well, looks like yesterday was the last of the "warm" rides for us for a
while.

If anyone is interested in the (short) report and a few photos:

You know it's great to have the Texan contingent around here. You
folks are always entertaining. But I have to say, here, with snow on
the ground, the side streets iced up like a skating rink, temperatures
hovering around ten below zero and me facing seven months of this
shit, reading about Mag riding around in tank top (only until the sun
goes down..lol) and you posting pictures of days that are but a fond
memory for me, IS PISSING ME OFF!!!! Wink

OK now that's off my chest, don't stop. Its good stuff.

Gee, I'm sorry. Our temp has dropped 30 degrees since 2:00 p.m.
and by morning it will probably drop another 10 degrees.
Feel better? Wink

By the way, what's the story with the OT in the subject line. Does
that stand for "On Topic" now?

I figured it was Off Topic since the majority of posts seem to be about
something other than motorcycles.
Kinda confusing, ain't it? Wink

Here in Midland/Odessa, we're experiencing a bit of a cool snap, too,
which is being accompanied by light rain. The weekend outlook is
promising, though. We're slated to have mostly sunny skies and high
temperatures in the upper 60s. I'm jazzed.

At a glance, it looks like you had fun. Hopefully, I'll have an
off-topic ride report of my own by next week.

Gee, I haven't been to Odessa in ages. Joe has family there. If we ever
get out there I'll holler at you. As for us and the weather, it's 51 now,
with rain coming. Our weekend weather will be a lot like yours but Sunday
may see rain again.

All y'all have to do is ask the guys in LA or San Diego when its raining
there, add a few days, and there ya go!

It rained again last night. Right now, its almost 70 and sunny again.

Hope the hills stay up there!

I too am guilty of that sin. I could tell you about putting my bike
battery on the trickle charger for the winter. Nah that even bores
me.

You really make me feel bad for you, as I have never had to use a charger on
the bike batteries. Just a push of the start button and go. I am very
thankful we don't have winters like yours. I'd have to move. LOL

Awww... PK Lake Smile Lots of good memories from there. Since this thread is
already designated OT, Mention of the terrific boating there should not be
considered 'incorrect'. I kept a boat in dry storage at Sandy Point from 88
to 91, when work caused me to move from Ft. Worth. Had some great times at
Fox Hollow, Hells Gate, and overnighters in secluded bays. The annual
luaus' on Sand Island (pig roast, beer, boats, babes, on a small island in
the middle of the lake...what could be better!) were a thing of beauty.

Thanks for the memories.

It's warm enough to ride here in the Mountains of NC today, but when I
saw the report of winds gusting 25-50 MPH I decided to take the cage
to work.

I do occasionally wonder if I should put a battery tender on the cage.
It was getting quite dusty, but this past week, I had to drag it out
several times to take care of business. Sad You know you're really a
bitch when you ask your kids if they'd like to go to lunch with you,
then make them *follow* you to a restaurant in their own car. Smile So
much for quality time. Smile Oh well, they get to listen to 311 and I get
to listen to my loud pipes saving lives. <cue LPSL argument> LOL
