Hey all have a cup of Joen on me. If you want yours with a little attitude
then feel free.

Been gone a while. Don't really know why but I guess this long assed cold
winter made me miss all of the banter around here.

Anyway I live in the Colorado Rocky Mountains and I am a yuppie poser
(heaven forbid I work hard and make a decent living)who uses synthetic oil
and waves at everyone from my bike (non-sporty) not a trailer!!! Just
thought I would get all of that out of the way early and to prove I re-read
the FAQ

Anyway I have been riding a 2001 FXDL for the last several years and
yesterday I put down a deposit on a brand spanking new Road Glide. Having a
little panic about having two bikes but the Low Rider will sell soon and it
wil all be better.

Good to be back and se y'all at the watering hole.

Fred

You could just sit on the bike in the garage and make vroom vroom sounds
like Al and Steve.

Hey Fred, welcome back.

I'll take a Dunk's, cream & 3 Splenda.

Grat's on the soon to be new bike, keep the FXDL, there's always room for
two or more bikes!

You're going to love the Road Glide... I went from an Early 1985
Lowrider to an '07 FLTR... love my lowriders (had three ~ '81, '82 &
E85), put tons of miles on them have 37.6k on my RG now and ain't
looking back {except for the occasional spin on the Lowrider <sfsf>}

poor poor baby ~ the Mrs and I put just a tad over 300 yesterday. This
morning it's back to my 182 mile commute on my D402's... waiting with
baited breath {dang! where's that mouth wash?} to hear how the E3
handles the twisties.

I'll let ya know ... if the handling so far is any indication , I am
going to really like the curves . I really should get a data point
before I change out the swingarm bushings , but I don't think that's
going to happen - got a shipping notice from Chicago Harley today , the
rest of the parts I need will be here Wednesday .
And you know damn well as soon as they arrive I'm gonna start taking
it apart . I saw an article the other day about the new spherical
bearings , they sound like they do the same thing my stuff does -
eliminate movement between the swingarm and tranny .
Oh , and I'm gonna remember that "poor , poor baby" next summer when
it's 140 in the shade out there ... <bseg>

I just traded my '05 FXDL in on a brand spanking new Ultra Classic
105th Anniv. Ed. Still putting more stuff on it, and did manage to get
a couple hundred miles in, between snow storms that is.

Welcome back, and congrats on the new ride.
