Several years ago I was riding west bound on hiway 70 (Feather River
Canyon) and remember wizzing past a restaurant whose lot was filled
with bikes, a big BBQ going on, etc. Looked like a fun place, but I
wasn't in the position to be able to stop. IIRC, it was on the west
bound side, east of Paradise or at least east of the hiway 99
junction. Any idea what it is?
Thanks.

Used to be a place called the Canyon Inn or soemthing, but it keeps going
in and out of business.
The Belden Lodge, where Jackson Brown drank for years is still around,
unless of course a flood washed it away.
Other than that...I can't recall.
Why don't you ride the Oroville - Buck's lake Road? (the end of 162) It is
super luscious in the extreme ( my favorite road of all roads anywhere), and
there's no where to eat either.

Actually, there are a couple of places in Bucks Lake for grub N suds as
I've been to both of them albeit some years ago.

Bucks Lake Lodge: www.buckslakelodge.com/lodge/lodge.html

The other one is at the marina north of Bucks Lake Lodge. It has
a U-shaped bar overlooking the marina.

There's also the Ten Two Bar & Cafe in Meadow Valley.

Thing is, south of Meadow Valley there's the jct of Bucks Lake Rd
and Big Creek Rd. If you take Bucks Lake Rd, it's go directly to
Bucks Lake Lodge although it's a slower, tighter road. Big Creek
Rd is a long series of endless S-curves, and bypasses Bucks Lake
although you can hang a right onto Bucks Lake Rd from Big Creek
Rd if southbound.
