Probably a bit too new for Lozzo to drool over, but this is currently up
for sale:

http://www.rgv-500.com/index1.html

No idea on price at the moment.

Some interesting info on the website about how he put it together,
although if he'd spent a fraction of the time he spent on the bike on
web site design it'd all be a lot easier to read.

It certainly looks nice.

He needs to update his links because Sol went down the sensible route
and sold his bike to finance the purchase of a ZX10R.

Nice...

Rebuilding my RG500 to standard condition (albiet in the early, rather than
later scheme) - but then I may sell it to help fund my flying addiction...

Have you seen the price RG500s (and spares - particularly engines) are
fetching now?

Blimey - 300191592820

RD500s aren't quite fetching that yet - but I should have bought one a
few years ago when I had the chance at around 1500 quid for one with 12
months MOT.

<pats appreciating RD350>

<steps up search for mint RGV>

Hiya Mike,

Hadn't seen that one - nice Surprised)

Wish I'd bought an RD500 and NS400R when they were cheap - but their prices
haven't gone up as much as RG5s. Mine has nearly doubled in value in 3
years...

And original ones are becoming as rare as hen's teeth...

Mine passed its MOT this morning. If it's dry for the BOSM I might take
it up.

Was at Fox's on Saturday morning to meet a few people from the SV forums
for a run up to Fish Hill [1] and an unknown random was practically
creaming himself at the sight of a tidy RGV - his mate had never even
seen one before, bless him.

[1] A few people were rather surprised to have trouble keeping up with a
250, especially a bloke on a GSXR 750. Wouldn't mind a bit more power
though.

Gosh. That's a reasonable run out. Especially on a 15 year old 250
two stroke.
