Had one. Diidn't find it comfortable or relaxing to ride, Didn't
care for its power delivery characteristics and certainly don't need
one now.
And I simply don't give a darn about what other people, unwashed or
not, lust after. That simply has no place in my motorcycle buying
decision hierarchy at all! >> Stay informed about: Motorcycle Horsepower Question |

No, Bill Kiene was not trolling. He's a nice senior citizen who lives
in Sacramento. He used to ride motorcycles and was looking for advice
on new bikes that would fit him, so he introduced himself to the
group.
At the same time, three women riders introduced themselves to the
group.
All four newbies gave up on you rude people in short order and quit
posting new messages. >> Stay informed about: Motorcycle Horsepower Question |

So why did you buy TWO ST1100s if you didn't find them comfortable
or relaxing?

Even the comfort part isn't a requirement. I know guys who admit
their bike is a torture rack but they love them just the same.

What a shame. Not that we lost four newbies, but that you too,
haven't given up on us "rude people" and quit posting. But then, why
should we expect you to behave in anything other than your usual
reprehensible fashion?
For goodness sakes, all a "nice senior citizen" need do is lurk for a
week or two, and he (or she) will see what a racist trol you are, how
you morph your identity dozens of times a week, and what a sick,
disgusting, vile, low, piece of human trash you really are.
Then they could concentrate on the "100 good guys who were raised
right by good people" that can be found for each vile loser like you. >> Stay informed about: Motorcycle Horsepower Question |

Back in 1977 I bought a Kawasaki KZ1000. In 1978 there were faster
bikes on the market. Rather than trade my KZ in for a bike that was
just a bit faster I decided to modify it. Gussets were welded into
the frame and motor mounts were changed so the engine helped stiffen
the frame. The brakes and suspension were both upgraded and blower
pistons installed, among other mods. Last addition was a turbo kit as
used on the Z1R-TC. That bike used a stock engine with the boost
limited to 7 psi. With the mods I had made I was able to crank it up
to 15 psi. With that much boost it put out about 150 hp and did 140
mph at the drag strip. It was fun getting my arms stretched and just
blasting around, but it sucked in the twisties. There was enough
turbo lag to make it really difficult to go quickly. Add to that that
it was thirsty and liked to foul plugs and it became a love/hate
relationship. Never dumped it but had a number of close calls. Wind
it up trying to clean a fould pulg and suddenly you find yourself
doing a 100 mph wheelie when it starts to fire on all four

Did you actually dyno the engine? That much boost should have produced
about 282 horsepower, based upon calculations assuming BMEP = 225 psi
and 8000 RPM. >> Stay informed about: Motorcycle Horsepower Question |

Exercising my freedom of speech is reprehensible? Call NetNanny and
report me.

What is a "troll"? Some would say that a troll is an internet user to
posts incendiary messages in order to start arguments. By that
reasoning, anybody who responds to a troll is also a troll, if their
post elicits a heated response.
But the term "troll" was used by gamers on Usenet long before the term
"troll" was invented. A troll in gaming terminology is an ogre who
will not let the player pass without a fight or answering a riddle.
A user such as yourself who always wants to argue with other users who
don't want to argue with him is a troll in the original meaning of the
term.
And, how did I get to this troll-infested place in cyberspace?
I was advised to "go back to Reeky" when I wrote about my motorcycle
riding experiences in another group seven years ago. They thought I
must be a Harley rider, from my expressed opinions, and argumentative
Harley riders weren't very welcome in that group.
It has long been recognized that Reeky is the cesspool of motorcycle
news groups, and you trolls are proud of that fact, by and large, so
how can any of you trolls complain about what anybody else posts here,
without being hypocrites?
>
> Then they could concentrate on the "100 good guys who were raised

I'm not going to stop reading Reeky, I enjoy reading the posts of
people you call "racists" as they practice their freedom of speech,
and I am encouraged to respond, and some of the "racists" reply to me
and cross-post my messages to other
users with a similar political viewpoint.
Back in the 1770's, my ancestors had to laboriously copy their
messages of political dissent and hand deliver them to other Sons of
Liberty at the risk of being arrested, imprisoned and even hanged.
Today, my patriotic messages move at the speed of electricity and are
read by people who want to read them, and there is not a damned thing
you can do about that. >> Stay informed about: Motorcycle Horsepower Question |
