For tyres, I always go to Pablos:
16 Rosemary Court
Mulgrave
Before you leave, ring them on (03) 9561 5522 to make sure they have a
tyre in stock for you. (Directions are a bit hard to type, so check
a street directory or www.street-directory.com.au first.)

So far, bikes are free. Get on there and ride. Just watch out for all the
fixed speed cameras.
> Footpath parking?
Don't park on private property without permission (and be warned that in
the city (ie, the CBD), private property can extend all the way to the
footpath), apart from that, don't block pedestrians or driveways and you
should be fine.

Is there still a Pablos in Richmond? That'd be a bit easier for
someone coming from Sydney to find. >> Stay informed about: Motorbike Shop Near Dingley Village (Melbourne) |

I would be more inclined to come down the coast road, then you don't have to
worry about the city and toll roads >> Stay informed about: Motorbike Shop Near Dingley Village (Melbourne) |

Nope. They had to up and relocate when the land-owner jacked the rent up
to over $60k per year.
Still the same Pablos, just at a new location for the last couple of years.
(And from what I heard, the land-owner of the old Richmod shop is still
looking for either tenants or council permission to knock down the old
building and put up some apartments.) >> Stay informed about: Motorbike Shop Near Dingley Village (Melbourne) |

they moved from richmond to mulgrave.
it's piss easy to get there
Take the monash freeway (M1) to the springvale road exit. (which is
actually ferntree gully road)
Get off then turn right into rosemary court which is the street before
the village green. (where we have had some past ausmoto dinners. the
village green is on the corner of Springvale road and Ferntree gully road) >> Stay informed about: Motorbike Shop Near Dingley Village (Melbourne) |

They moved about 6 years ago when their landlord increased their rent by
about 500%. The new shop isn't hard to find. There's one street off
FTG road between Springvale Rd and the freeway onramp.. that's rosemary
St. Easy.

There are no toll roads if you're on a motorcycle, and if you stay on
the toll roads, there is no city. Easy.
