Well, I think he may have a different meaning for popular than the
rest of the world does. Not to mention his lousy eyesight. Cause that
thing sure as hell doesn't in any way resemble any Harley Davidson
I've ever seen. And he obviously understands English in a different
way than the rest of us do. He even claims that what he posted wasn't
an ad!
From his reply to my (polite) email to him:
|It wasn't totally an advertisement - I figured people in the site would
|legitimately be interested in the product. So far most Harley people I know
|who have seen it have gone absolutely nuts for it.
I guess he knows some Harley people (whatever that is) but I would guess
he sure as hell doesn't know any Harley riders. There may be a market for
a mini chopper, but what he is selling sure as hell doesn't resemble any
chopper I've ever seen.
On the other hand, the guy next door to my sister actually has a mini
chopper (and the parts to build 4 or 5 more) that looks the part (and
also looks like you could shoehorn a pretty good sized engine into the
decidedly non mini-bike type frame), is powered by an OHV Tecumsuh (not
sure what size, but it goes as fast as I want to go on them little tires
and with no front brake). It looks kool and an adult can actually ride it.
They actually sold quite a few of them for around $2000 each before the
partners had a little disagreement and dissolved the company.
