What is the current situation in Victoria about learning on an automatic
scooter/motorcycle?

In NSW, "they" have snuck in a really secretive new setup.

You used to be able to do the pre-learners, then the MOST, on an
automatic bike, get a licence which said "auto-only" and then that
magically dropped off the licence when you next renewed.

Now, if you do the pre-learners on a scooter (the only auto option) you
get a lermit to learn on a scooter of upto 125 cc. Pass the MOST, on an
auto, and your licence is only for upto 125 cc scooters. This limit
never drops off, and, if you want to ride a bigger than 125 scoot, you
apparently have to do the full motorcycle licence. Neutral

AFAIK you can only have one type of licence and bike/car licences
are combined down here. They used to be seperate but they got shitty
because people who had both would get busted and lose one, then just
stay on the road using the other.

Licences can only be one type as well, either auto or manual. Not both.
You can't have for example, an auto car and manual bike on the same licence.
If they had an auto bike learner permit and licence, you'd only be able to drive an
auto car. If you already have a manual car licence, they couldn't restrict you.

I had my bike licence for 10 years before I got my car licence. Learned in an
auto car and did the test in an auto as well. Got to getting the licence issued
and they realised I already had the bike licence. Coz bikes are manuals they
had to give me a manual car licence.
