I just called the blood bank. Apparently the MRA is sitting on 103 donations
about 30 short of the number one spot. The defence department has made a
huge effort recently and may come though as the dark horse. Figures as at
10/02/04. The Southbank blood bank is open on Sunday from 9:30 am - 11:30
am. They seem to be pretty full on Sunday as this the last week of the
challenge. Many appointments are available today, Friday. If you rock up on
Sunday without an appointment they say you are more than welcome to but you
may have wait a while. When donating you have a needle in your arm for about
10 mins. They say to eat well and drink lots of water on the morning of the
donation as this aids the flow of blood and therefore the ease of the
donation. <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.arcbs.redcross.org.au/" target="_blank">http://www.arcbs.redcross.org.au/</a>
