First off, Kudo's to Ben Spies and Josh Hayes. Domineering performances in
classes they were, well, expected to dominate, still, nicely done. Though
one has to wonder what could have been in FX had the Duc's of Pegram and
Craygill had racing 'tronics earlier, hopefully they and the Duc's will
return..
Hat's off to the track and Proracing too, a good sized, happy crowd, and
even though the rains never came the proactive thinking in speeding up
Saturday gives hope for the future, as it worked out good. (especially for
Ben) Outside of one reported erroneous red flag in SStock, (heh, no
ambulance this time;-) a well run event..

SSport- Sadly, the fiasco in Ohio is going to diminsh what prolly would have
been another dream race at 'Guna, as really all Hayden has to do now is not
screw-up too bad, that said, this was a damn good one. It was a little
ironic too, all three of the H's like to fancy the idea R/A a home track of
sorts, but the Columbian gave all of them all (more?) they could handle his
first time out and while his last lap run on Hacking cost him a box it
should be obvious now this kid is the real deal, as well as the find of '07.
Davies and Herrin have shown well too, but IMHO, this kid a little better,
especially so, given the Pirelli's Emgo uses and speaking of Emgo, they must
know it too, as I hear they already locked him up for next year..
Good stuff..

SB- Even though Sherman's march through the south ended at the Atlantic and
Mladin's at the Pacific, it's fairly safe to say they both burned-up Ole
Dixie. As much as the racing between Mat and Ben has been close all year,
the breaks have really given each a lot of help too, from the ultra-long red
flag at Miller, to the wet shortened Q at R/A, not mention the academy award
stuff thrown in along the way, all in all great stuff and one can only hope
for more at the sand box, err, Laguna Seca. Conventional thinking might hold
that Mat's got the "Mo" to do the deal, but don't forget about that one
point Ben got for pole, in a season this close the last guy to catch a break
could very easily be the difference and that point may be end up being huge,
we'll see..
