As much as I find Greg White irritating, I thought Mladin came off
better than I have ever seen him on camera, very personable, almost like
he'd been to "charm school" or something! Anyway, he sort of nixed any
MGP deal that wasn't on a premiere team and mentioned he's involved in
negotiations with Suz for a three year extension. That bit of news was
probably not too well received by the rest of the AMA SB paddock...

My opinion is that on race day he is into an insular race-face thing all
day, which isn't his normal life.
In other words, he doesn't go into a race thing on the line, but rather that
morning.

Mladin was as close to "charming" as you could expect a guy like him
to be. His honesty regarding the GP issue was refreshing. Can't blame
a guy for not wanting to leave a place where he's the top dog to be
the junior guy on another team. It would be nice to see him
interviewed by somebody other than GW, who is an irritating ass whose
main goal in life appears to be to have the real racers on his show
constantly acknowledge him as one of the "brotherhood", even if only
in a deprecating way. I am happy that they quit playing that
irritating, repetitive theme music over the interview segments. I
always wonderd what retard of a producer thought that when questioning
guests was a good time to have music going, though I suppose it may be
a way of "watermarking" to keep people from pirating their soundbites.

Over the years, I've talked to him, seen him give interviews, sign
autographs, or whatever and I always got the feeling he was uneasy or
uncomfortable with the attention. I thought he came across relaxed and
to the point on the show in spite of GW, of course being a 5 time champ
and winning all but three(7of 10?)races so far this year didn't hurt!
The big, or bad news, depending on who you like, was that it looks like
he isn't going anywhere and will probably end his career in the US. If
Spies is unsigned for next year he may start looking around. The kid's
got the look and the talent to go places and I doubt he'll want to play
2nd fiddle that long, we'll see...<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Mat on Speed TV. |

Speaking of GW. I get sick of how he always spoils the
FX and SS races while interviewing the riders for the superbike
or supersport races.
