Archived from groups: ba>motorcycles (more info?)

Tootling around in the rain yesterday, I occurred to me that there
doesn't seem to be the blocks of motorcycle/scooter slots, such as
there are in S.F.

Any of you local, i.e., East Bay riders interested in perhaps getting
this going? Might be timely, as City of Oakland seems to be re-vamping
their whole method of payment. They've been increasingly using the one
"box", as opposed to individual meters.

I'm gonna see how the local bike press (City Bike, Urban Moto, etc.)
can get behind this.

Anybody ??

I hear this time and again. Back in the 80s, they were pretty lax in SF
about parking on the sidewalk, as long as you didn't block anything. I
hear those days are gone. Sad

Some security cop wannabe wrote me a ticket for it one day, and I
complained to the court. What they said was, "If you want to get this
changed, you can." (by 'this' I mean moto parking availability on my block)

I think it's a good idea. More than one voice will get more attention.
Good luck!
