Thanks, I tried all that. I think the threading problem is resolved or
at least resolvable. But each time I leave the newsgroup are to the mail
area and return, it's still treating it like an unsubscribed group. I'll
check with their forums, see if I can get an answer there. Thanks for
the suggestions and any others. Have a nice cold Yuengling on me.

I've had similar problems - it was at the news server. Maybe check with
your ISP or whoever your news server is.

What happens here is my ISP will mess with the news server and then it's
as if no message identifiers remain constant at each request. You get
new messages, but also the others you already marked as read. I ring
them up and then after they reply to "unsubscribe" - the subsequent
"subscribe" works. They never indicate what was up.

The one thing I didn't mention before was a right click on the news
server on the TBird main page, "properties" and then "remove account" -
in addition to cleaning out the directory mentioned in the last message.

Was that a PA Yuengling? They started making the stuff over in Tampa
and it's not quite the same. Have a virtual Old Speckled Hen on me -
but the real ones are better.

Since it didn't occur with Outlook Express (same computer), it's odd
that the server would be responsible but I'll give them a call and see
if there's something they can do. I'm inclined to think you're right
because when I setup my usenetmonster account (not this one), it's not
resetting each time.

I did remove and reinstall the account but not sure if I did that AND
deleted the files at the same time. Can't hurt to try.

Absolutely a PA Yuengling. Doesn't surprise me that a Tampa version is
different. It's the water. That's why ya can't get a bagel or decent
slice of pizza south of Philadelphia and it's even suspect in Phili.
Have another on me, thanks for the tips.

If you're still reading, you didn't say if you bought the bike from a
dealer. I bought my insurance through Harley. Th name is
Foremost. Probably isn't over there though. I paid the entire year. This
year the new bill was about 33% cheaper. BTW my driving record sucks if
they go back far enough. I'm so much more mature now. If somebody
allready suggested this I appologise but I didn't want to wade through
all the bs. jim
