Whilst reading through the paperwork to renew the insurance on my RD,
I read this:
"IMPORTANT NOTICE Regarding Changes To Your Policy
Section IV, Item b2,
There is no coverage for *loss* to any vehicle that results from:
(a) Nuclear Reaction;
(b) Radiation or radioactive contamination from any source; or
(c) The accidental or intentional detonation of, or release of
radiation from any nuclear or radioactive device."
I can only laugh.

Oh man. Heh. Someone was at work one day, and came up with this crap.
Imagine what he went through to convince the appropriate people that it
was neccessary to inform the policy holders of this significant change in
policy.

John ...
Where do these folks stand on floods?
No joke. After years of flooded basements, some areas around here where
these folks live were declared flood plains. Now they're eligable to buy
FEMAs flood insurance.
Just one small problem.
Their basments flood through the sewer system (a nasty mess) and because
THAT is Not an 'act of God' these folks are suckin' hind tit when it
come to anybody paying for their loss.
Their homeowners ins lack flood coverage because they have FEMAs.
Catch 22? You bet.

I just got the same notice from my insurer, and my first reaction was"What
the F****, are they kidding?" Then remembered a recent article in the local
paper about the 'terrorist' threat" of a "dirty bomb", radioactive materiel
blown over an area by using conventional explosives, and it made a really
sick sort of sense, and a really cheap ass cop-out for the insurance
company. Oh what the hell, it might be cool to have a bike that glows in the
dark to ride before the radiation sickness makes you too weak.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ --> >> Stay informed about: Insurance Coverage |
