Nope I tried to ride Mt. View and kinda got screwed. I called to ride the
limited practice today and never got a reply. I go up this morning and they
have 2 tracks now. "A" track for Int. & Pro and a "B" track for 125 & above.
Well,,, today they were having some sort of family day on the B track (Parents
w/ kids)so they said I could ride the A track. One look at the new "A" track
and I headed home.

I almost went to ride the A track Doug. Why did you leave? I was
dissapointed when I heard they split the track in two. She told me that it
was because people were getting scared when better riders would jump over
their heads. Seems to me though that if that kind of thing bothers you then
you should not ride there.
She also told me that the A track was similar to the old track but only a
bit smaller.
What did it look like?

>I almost went to ride the A track Doug. Why did you leave?
It's a huge jump fest now, I would love to ride the track but it had a lot of A
riders jumping everything and the last thing I want to be is a road block for
the better riders. The track looks to be a hoot to ride on though.
>I was
>disappointed when I heard they split the track in two.
I'd only heard rumors, what really PO'ed me was I called on Thur. and left an
e-mail of Friday asking what the Sun. family days was with no reply. I should
have just gone to Albany to race but I was just looking for a place to get in
some laps because I'm leaving for Honey Lake Thurs. to race.
>She told me that it
>was because people were getting scared when better riders would jump over

Well,,,,,,,,,,,,, If you have 2 tracks can't you get twice the money? I rode
the old track and normally 35 riders on the track was no problem and Tue nights
they broke it down into groups. Why not call it what it is they're there to
make money and there's nothing wrong with that, more power to them.
>Seems to me though that if that kind of thing bothers you then
>you should not ride there
I had no problem leaving, why get hurt if I don't feel comfy?

Really similar to the old track just twice as many jumps and they built
everything up to send you to the moon.
Do you know the track is "For Sale"

No. But last year the lady kept saying how she couldn't get the kids to help
out.
I hope they have some flaggers on the limited days now that the jumps are
bigger.

I hate to see it sold because I don't think a new owner will have a very good
time getting permits to run the track. They've been fight for years to keep it
open, unless the new owner is someone that already owns a track and knows how
to deal with those people & issues. This could be the end of another MX track.

Pardon me for being ignorant (I have not read the whole thread) - but it
would be most interesting to read *what* kind of illegal stuff those
riders used...
Was it AVgas?
Gasohol?
Nitromethane?
Weird additives?
Special oils?
NASA solid rocket booster ingredients?
Curious minds wants to know...

Your right, nobody should be jumping over anybodys head. So if that kind of
thing bothers you then don't ride there.
If all the sandbaggers are in the beginner class then race the intermediate
class. Who knows, maybe you'll get a podium.

Your mean your 1 year old is riding or it's your kid's first year on a bike?
Nevermind. It must be the later.
