I did it. Got a partner to ride with me in the 4 hour GP on the 13th.
Whooooo Hooooo!

Also got a couple of details that were not available on the website for
those of you thinking you may try to make it.

They are NOT pre-registering. So no, you're not too late. And there's
still time to get your stuff together and go!

Sign up starts at 7:00 AM bright and early. I did not find anything out
about camping.

They will have some kind of sticker / plate that will denote you and your
team mate. No need to take off your numbers.

Ride time is totally up to the team. As long as someone from the team is
riding. I thought maybe it was based on lap count, or time, but it's not
pre-set by the club hosting.

The track is 6.5 miles long, and boasts - 'european styling'. check here
for directions etc. http://www.overthebarsgang.com/eddieville.html

So far, Woodschick is in, and now me. Let's get some more RMD'ers up there!

Right on, Tom! I think it's gonna be a blast!

Camping is permitted. I'll be spending the night in The Dalles, and
hope to be at the track by 7am.

Keep your eyes open for me, Tom. I'm 5'1" with longish reddish hair.
I'll be with my teammate Leann that is about 5'7" (bitch...<G>) with
short reddish hair. I'll be driving a white`95 GMC Cargo Van with CA
plates and a blue/white District 36 sticker in the back window. I'll
be riding my black `97 CR125. Be sure to look for me and come on up
and say hi, ok?

Will look for you.

I will probably drive - white 93 Bronco pulling a white horse trailer. Blue
YZ426F (what other color would it be? - actually, I've seen yellow retro
plastic kits that look pretty kewl)

Really looking forward to it. Don't know if I have the stamina to ride that
long at speed, but I'm really not looking to win. Just a finish would be
pretty neat.

See ya there!!

She had better be found in the company of a white and grey Dodge Ram
4x4 extended cab truck with a 25' Aljo camp trailer, too. Probably be
an RM100 (KX100 in yellow plastic), a TT-R125L, and an antique 300E/XC
Katoom there, too. Sadly, the KTM isn't close to being in race shape
right now. If anybody wants to share a ride, I'm available...

Holy shit that looks like fun. At 6 1/2 mile MX track. Any east coasters
looking to make a cross-country trip to a race?

It's a GasGas Pampera. A 280 2-stroke trials motor (geared and tuned a
little differently) in a very small frame with full size wheels. It's
a bizarre little machine, but it's the most fun bike I've ever ridden
when the going gets tough.
It will climb anything and go anywhere, and weighs barely 200lbs. I'm
only 5'1" and can almost touch the ground flat-footed. It has made my
life so much easier!

I'll be riding my `97 CR125 at the GP, though. Perfect place for it.

think of the trip back afterward!

I've been wondering about that, too. Think I should shave off my
beard?
Looking at the website, it's not really clear if YOU'LL even be able
to ride in the womens class, I didn't see any mention of one.
Maybe Parvin will enjoy beating up on the guys in the men's class.
Hmm-m-m, maybe I should take this opportunity to make an annoucement:
Tami Rowell is my new agent. I mean, really, how much more can you ask
of an agent than to secure you a ride on 2 day's notice? No wonder
Eric seems like such a happy and contented man (well, besides the
obvious reasons).
Thanks Tami. See ya Friday.
WOO-HOO!

Well, Baxter did say he'd seen you be a woman before. I didn't ask...

Well, I'll be mentioning it loud and clear if there are 5 or more
women's teams there. That's the rules. Although, good luck getting 10
women entered in a race, fer cryin' out loud...

Hell, even I'd enjoy that.

Hey, don't thank me, thank Parvin! Although, I did tell her you were
5'4" and weighed about 150 and hardly ever rode a motorcycle hard.
Don't let on, ok?
And fer crissakes, go easy on that KTM450...

Happy and contented? LOL! I think he's so mellow now simply because
he's tired of fighting me on every little thing <G> He's a good boy.

Yowza! We're goin' racin!
(oops...maybe I shouldn't say that til the green flag drops and I
actually pull away from the line...)
