I remebered it being 53 BHP for the 1340 Evo motor. I also remember
their not being a whole ton of torque either.

Found a link ('94 evo):

http://jcperformance-engines.com/94hd1340.htm

53 HP w/ 63lb-ft torque. What a POS. My Yammie Virago had 40% more
horsepower and 20% more torque, and only had 82% the displacement of a
Harley. The Virago didn't even break down or leak oil either.

Can you find one for the 1340?

Scrape states - I seem to recall reading somewhere that a Harley big
twin puts out a whopping 43 hp. Scads of torque, no doubt, but no peak
HP.

...we had a SuperFlow CycleDyn dynamometer at the shop...what you won't
see on a inertia roll dyno (typical low buck DynoJet) versus an eddy
current dyno (CycleDyn) is the actual power DELIVERY...this a topic
nearly impossible to clarify in this medium, but I'll try...the
CycleDyn's higher resolution enables you to actually see why a 45hp H-D
"pulls harder numbers" than say a 45hp 400/450 "what-ever"...

Another reason why Dirtbikes are better than Streetbikes - I have to replace the shock on my street bike, many of us know that on a Dirt Bike, it's a fairly simple task to remove the shock.
