I have an XL125 with points ignition with no wiring harness. Anyone
know a basic way to wire it up to get it sparking?
I have a yellow, a white and a black wire coming from the stator and a
wire coming from the points. Can these bikes be wired to run without a
battery, regulator etc?

Thanks

I know nothing about wiring, but way back when my friend and I all removed
the battery and turn signals from our XL125's "to save weight".
Looking back, I don't think it made the bike (or the rider) any better,
and I don't remember if the lights still worked, but the bike was running
allright.

Greg. Check here and see if this makes any sense.

It's for a TL125, but, I'd think they are the same.
These are for 73-76 TL125's.
Good luck, Jeff.
