Hey, folks, I have a problem and I'm hoping one of y'all can help. I
have a 2004 Honda Shadow Sabre that I bought new less than a year ago
(yes, I suppose it is still under warranty, but I'd like to have a
chance at fixing the problem without fighting with the dealership, and
even if I do wind up taking it in, I'd like to know what's up with it
first) and it's leaking radiator coolant. More precisely, as it sits
running, it will start to discharge water/coolant vapor from the
right-side of the tube that contains the handle-bars/fork pivot on. It
reeks of discharged, hot radiator fluid (I know the smell, having spent
my fair share of years driving junky cars) and the radiator fluid has
gone down. Any suggestions, experiences, thoughts before I contact the
dealership?
To be honest, I am afraid the dealership will be less than agreeable to
help me with repairing a warranty item/claim, and I don't want to have
to go head to head with those yahoos if I can help it. I'd like more
information (I just noticed this problem today, so I've not actually
taken anything apart to find the problem), that's all.
Thanks for your time.
