Hi,

I have a 1985 Honda Rebel 250cc CMX250C.

The air filter is a foam element that you clean and replace. But my
foam element is falling apart and I need to replace it.

I don't see anything for sale anyplace that is either the entire
filter or just the foam element. The body of the filter is fine, if i
could locate a place to buy just the foam part, that would be great.

How are these listed and sold...i.e. how do I find the RIGHT one for
my bike?

thanks
Mark

As Olson said, it was intended as such.

Why? Unless you've not got a Honda dealer within easy reach? And if
you don't know which is the right one for your bike, the chances are
not good that you will order the right component.

That probably was the most helpful suggestion you are going to get.

I googled and found a half-dozen suppliers in just a few minutes.
Rather than me spoon-feed you, why don't you try it again and
see if you can, too.

Expect to pay about $6 to $10 for a filter and about $7 to $8 on
shipping.

You've probably got a K&N or other type of filter that is aftermarket
and not stock.
Go to Honda and order the Paper one, if the airbox is still on the
bike?
