Thought you'd like this. It's from a forum called Jockey Journal that is
kind of a sister journal to the Jalopy Journal.

Doesn't Ridley make a production motorcycle using a Briggs & Stratton
Vanguard engine?

Think about it! In our day Briggs & Stratton meant one (1) lung. That
thing's a V Twin! You could probably rig an electric start!
Someone get wise enough to change those brakes to disc, & you got a
cheap streetable scoot.....................

The 18 hp Briggs vtwin has been around for many years and has always
had electric start. They were/are popular on gas powered scissor
lifts and other such equipment.

Hey, I resemble that remark! <g>

I remember when we used to build platforms on pallets to lift us with
Lulls so we could work.

I also remember when my body was in good enough condition riding a
Sportster long distance wasn't a problem. :<{

Yeah, been reading there for some time. The guy did a great job, but
he's lost on the web site. Several of us had emails from him wanting
lessons on how to find the way around that site.
