You could call it offset I suppose, they are tipped on an angle and one side
definately rubs against the tube. Makes them use more fuel as they get
older. The TDM900 has fuel njection, no more probs with worn emulsion tubes

I wonder what the wear rate and the consequences of wear on injectors
are?

Probably some, but unlikely they'll wear as quickly as TDM emulsion tubes.
