Thanks for the link Ralph....the presentation begs a reply.
The messages in this presentation rely on the words of past patriots -
words spoken in response primarily to the oppression of Imperial
Britain. To twist those words to the current purpose is propoganda at
it's best...topped off with the all too familiar "Never Forget" which
fortunately was not preceeded by "Never Forgive"...but maybe that is
implied. Pleas of emotion with centuries old patriotic rhetoric are
pleas of despair.
Even if one accepts as reality this emotional attachment for motivation
- think of the remainder of the world who might also never forget and
fail to forgive when your children inherit our country.
There is no facility given to look inward in the presentation, only
outward. It is for people who are most comfortable on one-way streets.
Democracy is not a one-way street and Liberty cannot be replaced with a
pseudo fascist police state where motivation is derived from neatly
arranged and inapplicable slogans.

See, there you go again being all logical and unemotional. How in the world
are you ever going to fit in with the controlling class of
WeThoughtAboutItOnceThirtyYearsAgoAndWeWon'tEverAgain decision makers and
their WeWereToldWhatToThinkAboutItThisWeekAndNeverEverNeededToThink flock
if you insist on thinking about every little nit picking thing?
Take the Soma, be a good little Beta, stick your nose up the nearest brown
circle and join the parade.

Oh bullshit! I live by "Remember The Maine". Oh wait - I had a great
grandfather on the other side of that one. Okay then, I live by "44-40 Or
Fight". Damn them Canucks. Well except for Tud and Phil and a couple of
others. Come to think about it and there are some damn nice folks up there.
Hah! It will be "Manifest Destiny Or Plum Soda!". Is that right? Screw it,
that's what I'm going with. This jingo/slogan stuff gives me a headache.

I'll never forget. That morning, on TV at work, I watched the
second plane disappear into the side of the building like a hot
knife through butter and then EXPLODE out the other side.
Horrific.
But, I'll also never forget that I didn't vote for Dubya the
first time and I sure as hell ain't going to vote for him this
go 'round despite fear and despair mongering similar to what
the URL provides.
But, yeah, it coulda been presented as a snapshot of a tragedy
that should indeed never be forgotten.
Thank you for the link, Rog.

The only bumper sticker I would have would say:
"I brake for hallucinations." In very tiny letters that would show that
