Doubt it.

The 650 is a bigger version of the 550 and the 850 was developed from
the 750.

Worth measuring up, though, because there are more 850 motors around
than 650s, and an 850-engined GS650 sounds fun.

No, it wont fit, the 850 is a lot bigger.I had a 650 for 3 years, and it
was the most reliable bike I've ever had - when I went to replace it, I
had a go on an 850, and hated it - I couldnt believe how heavy and big
the thing was.
To the OP, a lot of GS550 parts are interchangeable, I had an top end go on
a 550, and put a 650 head on it,I think the only difference was bigger
valves on the 650,with a slightly bigger bore (only about 1mm iirc),a swop
the other way could probably be done.
What parts do you need?
Alan.

P ...
If you can figger how to put a '93 600 Ninja engine in it (and wanna
pick it up just outside of Detroit) be my guest.
Since I couldn't sell it, I left it at the house we just moved out of.
Or maybe you need an anchor? Smile
