GPS for Biking

If you really want a good idea I suggest you try out a Compact Flash GPS
Unit (go to ebay.ca and type in the search area "CF GPS" to get an idea of
what I a talking about) . The key here is versatilty. With one of these
babies (around $150 CDN) you get a unit that can be used in either a Windows
CE type palm device or any standard laptop (which have far more powerful
mapping capabilities than stand alone GPS units). I myself use a magellan
GPS device which mates to my Palm Vx and turns it into a map and go gps
system that I keep in my tank bag on my bike - works the charm. With
mapopolis (see <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.mapopolis.com" target="_blank">www.mapopolis.com</a>) it is an amazing little piece of kit -
also works with CE devices. The only limitation with my palm is available
memory which is why I want to got the CF GPS. If you are into boating or
long trips across country in a car the laptop is the perfect mapping
solution with something like the Rand McNally Streetfinder or the Nobeltec
