Thanks John. The scientist say it's a constant rumble this morning, quakes
happening at the rate of about two per minute. All of them are sportin'
some serious wood over this event, but an air sample yesterday showed no
sulfur so we may be looking at only a steam release.

Lets hope if it *is* steam that it finds plenty of exits cause IIRC the
co-effecient of expansion for steam is 1500:1. Hmmmmmm reminds me of an old
neighbor who thawed his frozen pipes from the wrong direction AND without
opening the tap. A campfire story for sure.

I was living in Portland at the time and citizens were asked to hose
down the sidewalk and street, in front of their homes. I learned the
Zen of the hose, for which I am forever grateful.

Not just the cure for hurricane season. The cure for Global Warming.
Indeed. BTW, comet and asteroid strikes also work. If none of that is
available, a few 50-200 MT fusion bombs properly placed could be used
to create a "nuclear winter".
You think Floridians might be more inclined to realize that if there is
"global warming", that they're in front of the line to feel the affects
first?

The intelligent ones have never doubted it. 'Course most of
us don't subscribe to the popular mass hysteria that says "a heavy
storm season is the beginning of the end".
It's been exactly 40 years since the Daytona to Jax area had
been hit by a hurricane. The various news services are reporting over
a century since any one state was hit by four in one season. South
Florida, the Carolina's, Texas, Louisiana, & Alabama get hit more
often than the areas of Florida that were affected this season.
I own three pieces of property in the affected area of this
years storms. Other than tree debris, some fence repair, & a little
roof work, my property came through just fine. In fact, in spite of
the media penchant for showing the worst of a disaster (good news
doesn't sell) the majority of property in Florida faired pretty well.
Inconvenient? Yes! Annoying? Without a doubt! Tiring?
Very! Deadly? Only if you're dumb enough to ignore the weeks of
forecast warning......... How's the forecast time line for those
earthquakes coming?
