That was putting it lightly!! Thank God, you stepped in. Those
electric wheel chairs are heavy as hell. I work with mentally disabled
adults. One lady, on my caseload is learning to drive one. I have to
run behind her, and hit the kill switch on the back, before she runs
over her peers. Then manually push it, and get her readjusted. She has
left her mark on the walls of the sheltered workshop, and on my shins.
That was an A-1 job!! Better then some of the so called experts, that
I have seen done.

I've seen some of Les's work in person. He doesn't do anything half-way.

Let me know, I'm willing to load it up and meet somewhere.

Thanks MaGGie, and everyone else. I couldn't have pulled it off without
the help of several people though. The cost ended up around $460 to
build the ramp, more than I can do to help someone out. Spread among
several people, it worked out great.

I just got to see a video of her going down and back up the ramp, as
well as turning around on the ramp in her chair. She's happy, and safe,
no more falling off the old ramp in her power chair.

Mat 5:15 nor do they light a lamp, and put it under the measure, but on the

I was so moved by the story and the top notch job that was done that I
woke up to the fact that I haven't done anything for anyone in a long
time. I have a few friends and relatives who would be homebound if not
for decent ramps, used wheelchairs, heated seats - vests etc. It was
like a bucket of cold water on me. I am now inspired to make up for at
least 5 years worth of "I'll kick in when I can" by comitting a portion
of my bank account to real causes, causes which make people feel and
live better. Kudos to Len for his project, for many reasons.
