What's this grey stuff, and what's it done with the sun? What's all this
slippery stuff all over the roads?
Anyone else's bike acting peculiar? Not only did mine not start this
morning (again)[1], it's now irregularly engaging the starter for me,
usually at inopportune moments (in or out of gear). A bath in wizard's piss
coming up, methinks.
Gary
[1] got it started by playing the fan heater on it for half an hour. Not
only does it need the choke when cold, it appears to be very prone to
flooding. Yes, I have some new spark plugs (to fit this evening), genuine
Bosch ones at $5.36 each, thanks for asking.

have you tried new plugs ??
hows the air filter ?
2 carbs ? balance ? mixtures would need a tweak i'm guessing
valve clearances
general going over should sort it out quick smart
since its starting to get cold then air is more dense = more air getting
into bike
so thats why choke is needed
check all elec points for starter probs
flooding ? keep it out of the rain

Pffft, rode the RS today. First time I've started it since I moved house
back in July. Of course it didn't rain today. Now I have my mechanic's
loaner DT175 :-#
Thanks J5!
Gary (thanks to Ms BMW for the new battery. I've never been in a spare
parts shop and seen all female staff before!)(but it is Rolfe Classic,
Land Rovers, Beemers, various up-market conveyances)[1]

No, just Beemers and <whisper> cars.

Yes, AFAIK, Gecko is the one-and-only Ducati dealer in the ACT. "Gecko is
EURO ... PHORIA !"

I've never been in there, but I can see they've come a long way from what
was once a discount tyre shop in Phillip.

You called a Ducati dealer asking for _parts?_
What were you thinking?
I mean, if you wanted a Ducati poster, sure, or a t-shirt or a hat, or
some Ducati boots or leathers, or even a calender - a watch - a beer
stein - a golf tee - a Ducati Performance Carbon Fibre Kitchen Sink!
But _parts?_
What next, you'll be expecting _service_ from them or something???
big (and I hear unconfirmed rumours they sometimes sell motorcycles...)

still laughing from the day i found a watch in the 'bargain' bin for $118

watch was also on the shelf for $240 wasnt hard to pick which one to buy
[1] later sold for $220 on ebay to a guy in the UK
