Although I've never been on a Doc Wong event, and don't share certain
belieifs with him, he's been a long-time Bay Area motorcyclist, and
doesn't just promote his own stuff.
If you aren't interested in his posts, fine, but kindly find another
NG to get yer tampon fuse lit, OK?
What have YOU done to help promote motorcycling, or are you just
another Zitgiest/hipster bar bench-racer?

Fuck off. If somebody wants to knock Doc for prosthelitizing his cult,
that's his decision, not yours. (Unless someone held a gun to your head and
*forced* you to read the above post?)

As long as we're flinging accusations around, are *you* just another
Scientologist pulling their SOP of attacking anyone who dares say anything
against them?

I don't recall ever seeing Doc prosletyzing. I do recall
seeing lots of folks bashing him for prosletyzing. I'm
not quite clear WTF the problem is. >> Stay informed about: Doc Wong Colonic Irrigation Workshop |

He does it practically every time he posts here. See the last paragraph of
his earlier "suspension workshop" thread for a typical example.
As for why people bash him; it's considered polite to inform the general
public when you've located a rattlesnake that could easily be stepped on by
some innocent who knows no better. >> Stay informed about: Doc Wong Colonic Irrigation Workshop |

"And special acknowledgement to L. Ron Hubbard who has

making it possible for me to be successful in family,
work and my passion for motorcycling!"
That's what the bashing is all about ?
And this is no doubt because the weak minded need
protection from this vile propaganda.
Where does he do anything but say it worked well for
him ? >> Stay informed about: Doc Wong Colonic Irrigation Workshop |

It's one of the many ways that Scientology tries to find more suckers to
fleece.

If *you'd* had friends whose lives had been twisted by Scientology, would
you make no effort to warn off strangers on the grounds that they'd have to
be weak-minded to fall for it?

That's just the SOP opening line that Scientologists are taught to use.
There's a whole carefully worked-out recruitment patter that follows it
should you express any interest or curiosity whatsoever. >> Stay informed about: Doc Wong Colonic Irrigation Workshop |

A little less than 40 years ago, I took one brief course
from them in N.Y., decided I did not wish to pursue it further
and walked away.
Since then, I've known an occasional Scientologist, just
as I've known many other people whose beliefs differed
from my own.
I've ridden with Doc; I say hello to Doc; I like Doc.
I have never observed any sinister attempt to indoctrinate.
Nice guy who has made significant contributions to local
motorcycling IMHO.
He says Scientology worked for him. I've known others who
said the same. I'm very happy for him and them. I don't see
such a declaration as especially sinister. >> Stay informed about: Doc Wong Colonic Irrigation Workshop |

(Shrug) Whether you're happy for him or not doesn't signify. It's still
prosthelitizing on his part, and a lot of people take exception to that sort
of thing, particularly in the case of Scientologists.
I also notice that you made no attempt to answer the question I asked above. >> Stay informed about: Doc Wong Colonic Irrigation Workshop |

No, it isn't. I occasionally get joints in my spinal cord out of whack.
A doctor will prescribe painkillers. A chiropractor will do an
adjustment and my back gets better. Yes, there are good ones and bad
ones. If yours wants you to keep coming back for six weeks, ditch him.
If yours is young and strong and fixes things right the first time, keep
him and recommend him to others.

I've been on a few rides with Doc Wong. He never proselytized, and on
time, when I showed up at a ride with my back out from getting my bike
up on its side stand, he fixed it. He did once suggest a strange
dianetics thing for how to get over my fear of certain turns after a
dump, but I recognized it as a dianetics thing and didn't do it.
Now as much as $cientology is a a sham and the organization is fully
corrupt, ragging on Doc Wong purely because he's a $cieno is
prejudicial. If you find that he pushes $cieno beliefs on people or
takes their money for second-rate sci-fi religious secrets, then dump on
him all you want. Judge the man by how he behaves toward you.

He attributes his success and hapiness to Scientology.
If that makes it prostheletyzing, then I know many people
guilty of it. Incidentally, when I do encounter a doorbell
ringer or leaflet hender outer, I don't generally find it
offensive.
> I also notice that you made no attempt to answer the question I asked above.
I've had friends whose lives have been "twisted" by various
things they've fallen into. Should we also label the major
religions evil because we know people who have come away
from them twisted ?
Doc is a good guy in my book. I don't think you know him
and yet you find him sinister. Shrug of shoulder here too
I guess.

Hey, 'woof! nice to see a local biker weigh in. E-mail me; I owe ya a
cerveza...that is, anywhere but Zeitgeist (i'm happily 86'd for life
there!), or drop by SFMC & ask for Hawkeye.
