Which do you like with your VC gaskets... RTV or neversieze?

Check for me... is it there?

If the fit is good, I use Gasgacinch (its a lot less messy and keeps
the gasket in place while fitting the parts together), otherwise, I'll
use red or black RTV.

If you're talking XR valve cover, there's a special varnish on the metal
gasket that does the sealing. Don't use anything on this gasket. The XR
uses the valve cover as half of a journal bearing for the cam, so the metal
gasket assures very tight tolerances.

If it's something other than the XR, I would use permatex. Red or black.

The XR was sheer brilliance... it's a shame that torch wasn't carried
further.

Thanks. The RTV camp seems to be much larger than the dry or neversieze
camp.
