Drinks on me. Hoist them to all who have gone before us.
I never take it for granted and I hope most of you ride, like it was
told to me
many, many years ago. "Ride with the intent that everyone out there on
the
road is trying to kill you". Ride not with paranoia but ride with
awareness
and anticipate every stupid thing a driver might do and be prepared for
it.
With that said, I ride evry ride like that and enjoy every ride as if
it were my last.
In the Wind,

"so what's ur point?"
this was a record year for deaths at bike-week,
so, this is something new.

Haven't ever been to Daytona although a couple of my buds
who live near there strongly advised blowing off Bike Week
in favor of Biketoberfest which is far less crowded.

The "Attendance" vs "Mishap" ratio is something I would like to see.

I rode to Daytona a few times this year.

I think Esterhaus' "Let's be careful out there" rings true.

The only dumb-ass thing I saw during my days there were being strafed twice
by crotch rockets on the right...in my own lane.

Really pissed me off, but I confess I love the engine note of a Ducati full
throttle.

Not sure the "you're number one" salute effectively communicated my
feelings.

Regards,

Doug

Yep. Life is dangerous. It's more dangerous if you're stupid, and
more dangerous yet if you hang around stupid people.

Move on, folks. Nothing to see here.

Even more dangerous if you ride bikes. People shouldn't do that.
