Wayne Rainey obviously understands monkey-boy's position in the
evolutionary scale: (from superbikeplanet.com) "And Honda had pretty much
tied down most of the good riders. When Rossi became available, obviously,
they nabbed him because they thought he was their missing link."

Rainey and Lawson are prod. shitty because Rossi won more races on the
underdog Yammi in a year than they ever managed...Thats the first year
effort.....

Rainey & Lawson didn't have an Australian crew, either.

If you saw the C10 interview with J.B [Of SouthAustralia] he claimed Rossi
could win without him, just it would take longer.Very noble of him, he
really is the most sucessfull Australian in any field of motorsport ever...

Would he be interested in the top job for a Bologna concern?

If Rainey or Lawson had been on ROssi's yamaha, they certainly
wouldn't have lost any races to Sete Gibernau, who is actually the
toughest rider Rossi has ever faced.<!-- ~MESSAGE_AFTER~ -->

He would no more work for (or with) a bunch of duplicitous Italians than
would Rossi ride for them. He's not stupid, either.

I still reckon Kenny Roberts is the toughest he's faced; just that he's
riding a shit bike for a shit team (and seems happy to keep doing so!)

Yeah he did pretty well at Rio - the rain helped even the playing
field and I reckon the results from a wet track are a pretty good
indicator of who's the best rider
