Has any noticed every time someone talks about going from one place to
another it instantly becomes a pissing contest about who can do the most k's
in a day?

I'm sure that someone cruising a Goldwing up the freeway can do a lot more
than a sportsbike taking the twisties, but I know what would be more fun
(except a Fizzer up the Putty, but thats a different story). YMMV.

Fuck I miss the Fizzer. Been 2 weeks and Swan still haven't decided what
they're going to do with it (please no pissing contests about who's waited
longest for an insurance claim!)

I did 1200km in a day on a sportsbike...
My first stop for the day was at the halfway house on the Putty Razz

(was that the sort of response you were fishing for?)

I had to wait three months to pick up my Triumph Sprint and then I had to
wait about 6 months again after I trowelled it 8 days later and then
later-on-still I rode it about 1800km (Mornington to Brisbane) in a single
stint!!
So fucking there!!

I went from melbourne through Swan Hill, Up through sydney, though
newcastle and up to Port Maquarie and back again on my CBR 250 RR. Did it
in 4 days and boy was it a testing time. My knees have been clicking ever
since. The bikes not designed for someone 6'1. Had a 20 kg back pack plus
my 80 kg weight on the suspension, by the time I got back it was stuffed.
The boot of the bike had collaps onto the rear wheel. NSWs has some pretty
stuffed roads with big Pot holes.

All I can say is I had fun but never again, I'm taking a trailer next time
and problably starting to ride after Sydney

If you had a fuel tank as big as that on the XJ you could take all the
interesting looking detours off the Newell Hwy Razz

6 weeks?

Try 4 months till I finally got the Porsche back. And the still haven't
finished paying for it. And it's now 6 months later.
