Hey gang,

I now most of you are into MX stuff but felt compelled to post these links.
Read this article first
http://www.off-road.com/dirtbike/features/2003/dpracing/ then watch this
video clip
http://www.off-road.com/dirtbike/features/2003/dpracing/vid/dpracingba...000-hi. It's over 3MB but well worth it.

I'll keep an eye here to see if other folks have problems downloading it.

I should've mentioned that I'm running an older mac system that ignores
some wmv files. I could probably view it if I kept the system more up to
date. Wasn't complaining, but just couldn't offer any comments on the
movie. Thanks again for posting the story.

I've often wondered who pays for this kind of effort? Do you have any idea
how much of the support for their team comes from their own pockets? They
don't actually make a living doing this, do they?

For the most part the team foots the bill. They do get some contingency,
winnings and sponsor money but there's no way it covers costs.

They
 > don't actually make a living doing this, do they?

No, all of the team has jobs. There rider of record Joe Hauler makes racks
to haul bikes <a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.joehauler.com" target="_blank">www.joehauler.com</a> They do it for the love of racing. DP
runs a class show and are a great bunch of guys! There will be a feature
length movie "Dust to Glory" about the Baja 1000 coming to theaters soon.
You can read more about it at:
<a style='text-decoration: underline;' href="http://www.off-road.com/race/2003score/baja1000/dusttoglory.html" target="_blank">http://www.off-road.com/race/2003score/baja1000/dusttoglory.html</a> The film
crew had very cool photo vehicles! I'd have to search ORC for the pic's but
they had a camera car and bike. I'm really looking forward to seeing that
movie!
