JRTR, I'm not defending anybody. Jack didn't call - he replied to my
last e-mail - sent last Friday. He was very apologetic for the
blackout, and he is picking up the shipping on my parts, at least
according to the e-mail. Evidently, the stock reported by Dixie was
originally incorrect, and a part that was supposed to be in stock was
backordered. Dixie held up the order pending that part.

While the problem in getting the parts was out of Jack's control, and
I sympathize with his family issues, I can't get on board with the
lack of communication. As Jim said, he was out of the shop for
several weeks. However, in this day and age of answering machines and
global internet service, it's tough to rationalize leaving an entire
client list hanging in the dark for a month.

Jack got a new answering machine this week.
